Who is he?
LEON YIYANG
Mr Leon Lo YiYang is the founder of Path Finder Tuition. His journey as a tutor started back at the time when he was an undergraduate in NTU. Back in school, he often helped his peers whenever they are having difficulties with their homework and lessons. This was the time when he discovered he was able to break down complicated concepts into simpler ones. At times, his friend would jokingly called him “Professor Lo” as they find his teaching easier to understand.
PFT Story
Why was PFT founded?
The founding of Path Finder Tuition was his belief that there is “No weak but only misguided learners” as it has become increasingly difficult to learn in school given the high student to teacher ratio.
Path Finder Tuition thus is in hope of providing a place where students are directed and eventually self-directed when they have gained competency.
The logo of PFT symbolises the collaboration of teacher (on the left) and learner on the right which are partners in education for life.

At PFT, we believe that tuition are not quick fixes but should be implemented throughout the years to build solid foundation that deeper knowledge can be built upon in the later years.
Knowledge awareness
To be made aware of the “what” by exploration of content through activities before the formal definition is introduced.
Skills development
Learning about the skills that matter. This includes the language used, the correct writing techniques and the ability to think critically and dissecting the problem.
Applications
After acquiring the skills needed, they are matched to the problems they needed to tackle in the examination.

Senior Educator
Ms. Rahilah
Rahilah believes in lifelong learning and this is exemplified in her lessons. Her nurturing nature means she often integrates life lessons in her classes. She encourages students to think of the bigger goals ahead in their lives, beyond just academic excellence.
Rahilah has specialised in Maths and Science for at least 6 years, coaching students individually and in groups. Students have improved at least 1–2 grades by consistently following her directions.
Consistency is key! Learning is a marathon, less so a sprint.

Aparajita
As a Mathematical Sciences graduate from Nanyang Technological University with a couple of years of teaching experience, Aparajita specialises in providing academic support in mathematics for students from Primary through Secondary levels and science at the primary level.
Her teaching philosophy focuses on breaking down complex mathematical and scientific concepts into clear, manageable steps to build a strong foundational understanding. By systematically tracking student progress and fostering a patient, supportive learning environment, she is committed to helping students overcome academic challenges and achieve their full potential in both Math and Science.
Senior Educator
Zheng Chan Juan
Ms. Chan Juan is a Senior Educator specialising in Primary and Secondary Chinese and Mathematics. She graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese (Distinction), reflecting a strong academic foundation and deep expertise in the language.
Chinese language education is her core strength. With a strong command of the language and a structured teaching approach, she is highly effective in helping students develop clarity in expression, comprehension skills, and examination techniques. Her guidance has enabled many students to achieve marked improvements, including progression from failing or borderline grades to distinction-level performance.
In addition to her strength in Chinese, Ms. Chan is also competent in teaching Mathematics. She applies a clear and systematic approach to problem-solving, helping students build confidence and accuracy in their mathematical understanding.

Our team of tutors comprises only full-time tutors who were previous MOE educators or working professional who is able to impart real-life experience to students when teaching.
Post-lesson engagement
Learning does not only take place during the class. If there are doubts to be clarified, external help can be arranged before/after the class or through our Whatsapp chat.
