Secondary School Mathematics Tuition at Path Finder
At Path Finder Tuition, we focus on helping the students to grasp these concepts and their applications through the “Learn-by-example” approach with “follow-up” exercises to enhance the lesson. This is done through:
- Exposure to exam-style questions and the skill set needed in a STEP-BY-STEP approach
- Immediate feedback through a post lesson quiz review
- Regular review of concepts based on each lesson’s assessment
- Analysis of common careless mistakes made and techniques to overcome them
Why is Secondary School Mathematics Important?
Mathematics at ‘O’/ ‘N’ level is a subject where progressive build-up of knowledge from Secondary 1 to Secondary 4.
The aim of the syllabus is to equip students with the baseline knowledge to work with basic to intermediate Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and Statistics.
In the recent syllabus change, the students are also expected to be able to relate these knowledge to the real world by applying them to the Real World Application question in paper 2 of the 4048 GCE ‘O’ level paper.
Additional Mathematics at ‘O’ level on the other hand is an intense application of Mathematics from 4048. While the skill set needed is fairly similar, however the amount of manipulation is much more tedious, hence requiring a much higher level of focus. At times, application of concepts related to the Engineering and Sciences is also expected.
