Negative Tuition Centre Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this tuition centre, and I strongly advise all parents to think twice before enrolling their kids here. First of all, their payment terms are extremely unreasonable. Parents are forced to pay tuition fees for three full months upfront, plus a one-time non-refundable $60 registration fee upon sign-up. My child only attended less than two months of lessons after I made the full 3-month payment and paid the registration fee. Shockingly, the centre’s admin notified me out of the blue that classes would cease completely after August simply because no new students joined the group. I ended up wasting the registration fee entirely through absolutely no fault of mine; this money was just taken for nothing. When comparing pricing, this centre is outrageously overpriced. They charge S$65 per 90-minute lesson, while private one-to-one home tutors in Singapore only cost around S$40 per hour with fully flexible timings directly negotiable with the tutor. Worse still, the centre still collects full monthly fees even when they suspend classes on their scheduled tuition dates for their own breaks. Their internal scheduling process is ridiculously cumbersome and a massive waste of working parents’ precious time. We cannot adjust lesson timings directly with the teacher. Every minor schedule change has to go back and forth: parent → admin → teacher → admin → parent. Tiny issues get dragged out into drawn-out WhatsApp conversations that easily eat up more than an hour, when a quick 5-minute phone call could resolve everything instantly. Repeated calls to their admin hotline always go unanswered, making communication incredibly inefficient. To make matters worse, the admin team has an insincere, two-faced attitude. They blamed me for frequently requesting timetable adjustments and asked me to be more considerate, implying I was being troublesome. We would never request timing changes unnecessarily — rearranging schedules is inconvenient and stressful for us too. It is infuriating to be reprimanded for reasonable requests while the centre unilaterally cancels our ongoing classes halfway through our paid term. Overall, poor value for money, terrible administrative efficiency, unresponsive staff and disrespectful customer service. Save your money and time by choosing alternative tutoring options.Posted on Google

Janette He15 January 2026I’m very pleased with the student care and tuition lessons conducted during student care hours. I appreciate the timely updates on the children’s well-being, their arrival at student care, and details of what they have for lunch and tea break. The daily snippets of lesson updates provide great visibility and reassurance, making me feel confident that my child is well cared for and supported academically.+3Posted on Google

priscella ang10 November 2025⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My P3 girl joined the centre in June. Science was new to her and she failed her WA2/3, but Mr Leon patiently guided her through the topics. This EOY, she scored 68/80 — a great improvement! My P5 boy also joined in June. Despite his busy football schedule and missed lessons, Mr Leon always made the effort to arrange make-up classes. This EOY, he even came all the way down to Redhill in the evening, despite his own busy schedule, to conduct a revision class before the exam. My boy did better than we expected! A passionate and sincere teacher — highly recommended!Posted on Google

HIPO Ton5 September 2025Finally Leon decided to open a Path Finder branch in Redhill! Happened to chance upon the branch when I walked past the block. My child used to attend tuition at the Jurong West branch and that was pretty challenging in terms of distance. But we still went ahead for weekly maths and science lessons and they proved to be worthwhile. My child was struggling initially but he eventually obtained A1 to A2 for all his Maths and Science subjects during O levels. Thanks to Leon and his team of teachers. Very grateful for their patience and guidance to achieve the results.Posted on Google

Thanks to Ms. Ilah’s support and teaching style, Vern not only regained her confidence in the subject but also started enjoying learning again. Sarah Shaista30 June 2024My girl joined this branch at the end of P5 2023. She had Maths phobia. She slowly gained Maths confidence & had shown improvement. I will say that the topics introduced when she started with Pathfinder was the ones she can do confidently. I credit Mr Hazreen for his effective methods which boosted my girl's confidence in Maths. She also attends science tuition here which she enjoys thoroughly. I only wished that Pathfinder had opened this branch sooner so that didn't have to go through so much dramas pre-Pathfinder. I highly recommend anyone looking for tuition for their kids to look no further. Kids are able to ask questions and actively participate rather than sit down all the way and only listen to teacher (typical of most centres). The selling point of this branch is that classrooms are spacious, new furnishings & materials/tools. Class size is small so ur child will get adequate attn from tutor. ✨️✨️✨️✨️Posted on Google
Kristie tan25 May 2024Pathfinder was truly an amazing place. Teachers here really put in effort to help students to improve their weakness. jaymin1 February 2024mr leon helped pull up my grades to As for both physics and amath!! The classes are small and very chill unlike other centres where we have 20 kids crammed in a room. 😰😰Mr leon also provided concise notes with the exact keywords needed to score marks + went through all the different types of questions that might be tested for both physics and A-maths. I used to be very weak and had no confidence in my math and physics abilities but after learning from Mr leon, I know that i am able to do math at higher levels. 🙏 I recommend Mr leon to anyone who thinks they cannot score well in a subject😞👊 2023 olvl studentPosted on Google

jing le13 January 2024I was weak in Maths when I was in primary school and struggled in secondary school. My cousin recommended me to Path Finder and I am glad I made the right choice. I started with online classes and then hybrid due to Covid-19. In fact, I moved to full online lessons from secondary 3 and it worked out well for me as the teachers made sure that I was not left out and was able to learn effectively. I am thankful to my tuition teachers namely Leon, Dennis and Sebastian for their guidance and I scored A1 for both Science and A-Math.Posted on Google

Lynn13 January 2024When I initially joined Pathfinder in Secondary 2, I was quite weak in my subjects as I was still adapting to the syllabus and scored low Cs for maths and sciences at the start of Secondary 3. However, after attending tuition, I found myself improving consistently throughout my class tests and weighted assessments to the point where I scored my first A1s for amath, phy, eng and bio. The teachers here have been patient and understanding to my needs. Their help and guidance have played a crucial role in allowing me to achieve a raw l1r5 of 7. Morinosuke14 March 2022Here's an alternative yet honest review from a parent who was trying hard to enroll my child but didn't manage to due to the unresponsive and poor administration of this tuition centre. (1) The first time I contacted them, they didn't reply back. Only received a response with an apology two months later, where they made the excuse that my message was "accidentally archived". By then my child had already completed tuition with another school. (2) Some time later I made a payment for the trial course and sent the proof of payment. Waited days, but no acknowledgement nor receipt from them. Only after much coaxing, received receipt almost 2 weeks later. Not even a note of acknowledgement, very unprofessional. (3) Their website design is terrible. The registration form for some webinar doesn't make sense, it's just a standard form to enroll the student and not for the webinar. The webinar advertisement also didn't indicate it's meant for JC2 students. Then there's that annoying advertisement pop up that appears every time you try to fill up the form, and it forces your form to refresh such that whatever you had filled up turns blank again. So we gave up, and my child is happily enrolled with Learner's Lodge. Same price, but such difference in the service and responsiveness. I give 2 stars as I believe the tutor may be good (based on our limited trial experience). But doesn't help if their admin doesn't get things done, which really is a waste.+0Posted on Google
Tan Hwee Kheng23 February 2022Approached Leon late in April 2021 for Physics tuition to my nephew whose result has been poor since JC1. Although i only went here for a year i was able to pick many useful skills to do better. Mr Leon has a good structure to his lessons, is able to make the time more efficient and and also answer any questions immediately. He also takes interest in our well-being outside of the tuition as well such as helping us manage our time during the long holidays. Mr Sebastian’s lessons are also very interesting and got me more interested in the subject. He is able to answer queries in a way that easier to understand and will ensure we are clear of the things being taught before moving on. His teaching method may be unique yet it caters to your learning needs. Both my tutors offer the best help both in and outside the tuition through WhatsApp. Thank You Path Finder!Posted on Google
Corina Lee15 September 2021Mr Leon has great teaching experience and a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how he presents his material that my daughter till today refers to his quality materials from time to time for her exams revision. His lessons were engaging, useful and very patient and encouraging with my daughter. He paces the class just right so that my daughter feels challenged enough but not overwhelmed. His lessons engages the student to respond in a fun way and thereby promotes faster learning. He is especially patient and eager to help and that has motivated my daughter to improve tremendously thereby doing well in her exams last year despite the odds of missing a lot in school due to some health issue. And as a parent, I am indeed fortunate to have found his class online and would highly recommend him for his passion and dedication is beyond words.Posted on Google
